How can I use Instant Chat to message an 'online' freelancer

Instant messaging is available to all Pro Company members.  

When a freelancer is online, this will be marked on their profile with an 'online' icon - you can use instant chat within any member who is currently online.

There are 3 ways to initiate a chat...

• Click the 'online' icon to open a chat with that member

• Use the 'contact' button on the person's profile to send an opening message - this will then open the chat window at the bottom of the screen to continue the conversation

• Open the chat bar at the bottom of the screen and use the search box to type in the name of the person you'd like to message.

If the member doesn't view the message within 5 minutes, we'll email them with a copy of your message so that they don't miss it.
