HR & TM Best Practice
By signing up to The Talent Manager you are agreeing to always follow HR best practice when using the site. The notes are confidential to you and any colleagues within your organisation that you have allocated access. Freelance users and company users from other organisations, cannot see your notes. It is important however when adding notes to make sure they are factual and not personal so if an individual requests access under privacy laws these will not be detrimental to your company.
It is also important to remember that clear communication with the freelance community about how they can hear about your opportunities is a key part of HR best practice and legally advisable. To protect your company please ensure that if you are posting a vacancy elsewhere e.g. through social media or any closed networks you may use) that it is also listed where you have told the community it will be ie on The Talent Manager if you have bought a community package and on another transparent platform if you are a 'search only' customer. If you have opted for the community package and unless you specify otherwise, the TM will replicate job postings your staff may have published elsewhere. (If we see them.) We offer this "job match" service as we know the realities of production can make informal postings of this nature difficult to police, however as we can't be liable if we miss postings of this kind and a freelancer challenges you legally - it is advisable to ensure your jobs are posted at the outset as a matter of course on the TM.
